At 12mm thick, the shapes and discs are beautifully chunky and portable, ideal for small hands to hold and manipulate. This is a versatile cross-curricular resource to support learning in a variety of ways: for matching, pairing and shape sorting, for recognising 2D shapes and their characteristics, to learn about symmetry and regular shapes, for looking at shape attributes and discussing the difference between mathematical and representational forms.
